One of the top places to visit in Gatlinburg is the Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum, which features one of the finest and the world’s largest collections of salt and pepper shakers. The museum houses all sorts of salt and pepper shakers ranging from big to small to quirky to glass to plastic to wooden to lots more. All these shakers housed at the museum are a result of the efforts made by Andrea Ludden in collected these artifacts from over the past 22 years. Presently there are over 22,000 pairs of shakers and around 1500 pepper mills at the museum.
