Baton Rouge Zoo

Founded in 1992 by Barry Kyle along with LSU Department of Theater, Swine Palace was established with the aim of becoming the premier professional theater of Louisiana. Old Arsenal Museum

Built in 1838, the Old Arsenal Museum is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Known formerly as the Powder Magazine, this is one of the oldest landmarks of Baton Rouge. Owing to its location on the Mississippi River, the site was of prime military importance 7& also served the needs of National Guard & State Police. Reopened as a museum in 1992, the place today includes exhibits relating to the history of the building & State Capitol grounds.

Old Governor's Mansion

Constructed in 1963, the Old Governor’s Mansion is home to the Louisiana Arts & Science Center Museum. This four storey mansion is divided into two wings as East & West Wing. While the West Wing houses the Foundation’s offices, the East Wing features a beautiful slate terrace. The Mansion’s front entrance is a portico with double doors surrounded by pilasters with Corinthian capitals. The mission of The Foundation is to protect & promote the historical integrity of this mansion that once served as home to the Governors of Louisiana.
